MODIFIED WOLFPACK CHALLENGE

SPRINT CARS

TIRE & WHEEL CENTER SUPER STOCKS TOO

BLOOMINGTON, IN (September 10, 2006) - Bloomington Speedway will host another night of exciting racing action on Friday, September 15. The evening's racing will feature sprint cars, O'Neal Wood Products modifieds in the Modified Wolfpack Challenge and Tire & Wheel Center super stocks.

The Modified Wolfpack Challenge is in its fifth season; but they will be making their fourth appearance on the red clay of Bloomington Speedway. And, like most series of this kind, it has gotten better each season. However, unlike most series, there are literally hundreds of modified competitors who will be anxious to test themselves against the best. Just about all area modifieds have been built to conform with UMP rules. This is intended to give eligibility to the most teams while keeping the competition equal. This should fill the pits to overflowing for this special event.

As our regular fans know, some of the best modiied drivers in the state regularly compete on the red clay of Bloomington Speedway each Friday night. Our regulars should have an edge on the visiting stars at least in the preliminaries. However, the visitors will learn to read the track during the preliminaries; and the feature should, indeed, be a race to remember.

The O'Neal Wood Products modified points leaders are Kent Robinson, John DeMoss, Matt Boknecht, Jeff Bland, Jr., Ray Humphrey, Richie Lex, Ryan Thomas, Clint DeMoss, Josh Eads, and Bradley Sterrett. Any of these guys are capable of winning any time their cars roll onto the track. While they probably have an edge on the visiting stars, some of the visitors see enough different tracks that they'll probably be able to adapt pretty quickly. And, one of the best probable visitors, Dan Hamstra, has competed at Bloomington Speedway often over the years.

And, if the Modified Wolfpack Challenge isn't enough to lure you to Bloomington Speedway, this will be the final points night for our sprint car racers. Going into Friday night are sprint car points leaders are 1. Kevin Briscoe (790), 2. Kent Christian (718), 3. Josh Cunningham (661), 4. Kenny Carmichael (642), 5. John Sciscoe (634), 6. Kenny Carmichael, Jr. (631), 7. Bobby Stines (625), 8. Jared Fox (606), 9. Chris Windom (596), and 10.Dickie Gaines (587). While Kevin Briscoe is pretty well a lock for his record fifth championship, there is plenty of room for gaining or losing ground in the rest of the standings.

Don't miss this exciting night of racing!!!!

There should be plenty of Tire & Wheel Center super stocks too as their will be an extra $500 in their purse. The winner will earn $600 with proper decals

Pit gates will open at 4:30 PM, the grandstand gates will open at 5:30 PM, hot laps will start at 6:30 PM, and racing will begin at 7:30 PM. General admission is $10 for this event (children 6 and under are admitted free to the grandstand when accompanied by a paying adult amd children 7-12 are admitted for only $5 when accompanied by a paying adult); and pit admission is $25. Coolers are permitted; but glass containers aren't. Overnight camping is also permitted. END BLOOMINGTON SPEEDWAY P.O. SEPTEMBER 22, 2006

11th ANNUAL INDIANA SUPER STOCK &

UMP MODIFIED NATIONALS

(Bloomington, Ind. - September 10, 2006) It's been a great season at Bloomington Speedway. Mike Miles and his crew have done their best all season to provide the fans with great motorsports entertainment. As much as we hate to see it end, we are at that time. It's time to run our final race. As usual, our final program will be the Annual Indiana Super Stock and UMP Modified Nationals. However, one thing is different this season. This season the final race will pay points. Since the awards will be presented at our awards banquet in November, we will finally be able to award points for this final show.

On September 22, we will put the spotlight on O'Neal Wood Products Open Wheel Modifieds and the Tire & Wheel Center Super Stocks. Because the focus is generally on the sprint cars, these great competitors don't always get the attention that they deserve. We've seen fans leave early and miss the best racing of the evening. While these guys are mostly budget racers; there are lots of great racers among them; and what they may lack in financing, they more than make up for in enthusiasm and desire to win. On Saturday night they will be center stage with no distractions.

This program may well pull more cars than any show this season. The winner of each class will receive $1250, assuming the proper decals are displayed on his mount. Also, the payoff is higher than normal all the way back. Each driver who makes one of the features will receive a minimum of $100. And, on top of all of this, there will also be lap prize money paid. With this amount of money up for grabs, just about every car in the state should show up at Bloomington Speedway.

Gates will open at 3:00 PM, Awards presentations will be made at 6:00 p.m. followed by hot laps followed immediately by racing. There is a $25 per car entry fee. Grandstand admission for this special show is only $12. Children 5 and under are admitted free while children 6-12 are admitted for only $5; and pit admission is only $25. Overnight camping is permitted as are coolers. No Glass please.
