Herta Finishes 15th in XM Satellite Radio Car
at Chicagoland

JOLIET, Ill. (Sept. 10, 2006) - XM Satellite Radio driver Bryan Herta finished 15th at the Peak
Antifreeze Indy 300, the final IndyCar Series event of the season.  Herta finished 11th in the IndyCar Series
driver championship.
Starting from the 18th position, Herta and the XM Satellite Radio crew had a clean race on the track
and in the pits but were unable to find the speed necessary to challenge the leaders.  However, as the race
wound to its conclusion, Herta was able to outrace several cars on the same lap and finished 15th.
Dan Wheldon won his second race of the season and finished tied for the IndyCar Series
championship with Sam Hornish Jr.  However, Hornish had four wins in 2006 to Wheldon's two and Hornish
was awarded the championship based on that tie-breaker scenario.  Scott Dixon, Hornish, Helio Castroneves
and Ed Carpenter filled out the top five.
Although the 2007 IndyCar Series schedule has not been announced in its entirety, several key
dates have been confirmed.  The third annual Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg is scheduled for Sunday,
April 1.  The 91st running of the Indianapolis 500 will be Sunday, May 27, from the famed Indianapolis Motor
Speedway.

Bryan Herta, #7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone:
"It was difficult out there today because the car just didn't have the speed.  All I can say is that I got
everything out of the XM Satellite Radio car that I could.  It just wasn't good enough."

George Klotz, Team Manager, #7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone:
"This wasn't how the XM Satellite Radio team wanted to finish the season.  It just wasn't our day.
Bryan did everything we asked of him each time he got in the car this season.  It's a long off-season so we'll
have time to regroup and get ready for next year."
