New Portable Version Includes New Ford Vehicles, Tracks and Wireless Multiplayer Features
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 6 -- Eidos, Inc., one of the world's leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, in conjunction with Ford Motor Company and Empire Interactive, today announced that Ford Bold Moves Street Racing is set to be published in North America for the PSP(TM) (PlayStation(R) Portable) this fall 2006.
Scheduled for release on the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system, Xbox(R) video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and Windows platforms this September, the PSP(TM) version expands the experience of racing high performance Ford vehicles by adding new tracks, vehicles, team racing modes, and wireless multiplayer racing features.
"Ford Bold Moves Street Racing is a perfect match for the PSP," said David Bamberger, US Marketing Manager, Eidos. "Now not only can players have the experience of racing high performance Ford vehicles anywhere they want, but the new content provides a brand new experience for fans of the existing franchise."
Now featuring 24 officially licensed Ford vehicles, classics such as the 1971 Mustang Mach 1 join the already prestigious roster, as well as scorching hot supercars like the 2005 Shelby GR-1 Concept. The Maximum Team Control(TM) Racing features have been expanded to 11 different modes, each designed to exploit different aspects of team racings such as blocking, drafting, and switching. Multiplayer has also been enhanced to include both team and solo racing options, utilizing the wireless capabilities of the PSP(TM) for high velocity head-to-head racing battles.
"The team did an excellent job enhancing the feature set for Ford Bold Moves Street Racing," said Mark Bentley, Ford Licensing Manager. "New tracks, new vehicles, and new single player and wireless multiplayer racing modes make Ford Bold Moves Street Racing a strong contender in the handheld racing game category."
Developed by Razorworks, Empire Interactive's internal development studio, the PSP(TM) version of Ford Bold Moves Street Racing will be available in North America this fall 2006.
