GEICO to Hire 200 for Macon Office

Career Fair Scheduled for September 16

MACON, Ga., Sept. 6 -- Since GEICO opened its Macon operations center in 1973, the office has grown to become the second largest employer in Bibb County with more than 2,900 associates -- and it hasn't stopped yet. GEICO is now actively recruiting in the region and plans to hire 200 more new associates to serve its growing number of policyholders by the end of the year.

GEICO will hold a career fair on Saturday, Sept. 16, 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., at its Macon office, 4295 East Ocmulgee Blvd. To make an appointment, readers are asked to call 478-744-5677.

Because of GEICO's continued growth, the company will hire associates for its sales, service, emergency roadside service, glass claims, and customer service departments. GEICO will provide training for entry-level associates, college graduates and experienced professionals to fill these positions. GEICO also seeks to fill several of these positions with bilingual (English/Spanish) associates.
