New Leadership at Nissan North America's Treasury Department
NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Sept. 5, 2006--Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) today announced Rakesh Kochhar has been named director of NNA's Treasury Department. He will replace Kazuhiko Kazama who will be returning to Nissan's world headquarters in Tokyo. Kochhar will oversee Nissan's treasury activities including cash flow management in auto business and debt programs within Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation which currently total $26 billion."Kochhar provides us with the experience, leadership, and continuity we need in this position to maintain and build on the success Nissan is experiencing with our overall business and debt programs," said Dominique Thormann, NNA senior vice president, Administration and Finance. Kochhar will report to Ronald Petty, NNA vice president and CFO.
Prior to coming to Nissan, Kochhar was with Delphi Corporation as the director of Corporate Finance. He was responsible for Capital Markets, Domestic and International Finance, Foreign Exchange & Commodities Risk Management, Asset Financing and Pension Asset Management. Before working with Delphi, he served in various Accounting and Treasury roles with GE Capital Transportation Financial Services (India).
Also in the NNA Treasury Department, Rachel Serina was recently appointed senior manager of Treasury's Funding Group at NNA's Treasury Department and is managing Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation's debt and securitization programs. She first came to Nissan during the last half of 2005 as manager of Funding.
Prior to coming to Nissan, Serina spent 12 years at Mitsubishi Motors developing its presence in the capital markets with various debt programs including fixed income and ABS. As Treasury Manager at Mitsubishi, she also ran the cash management operations for both the captive and the sales parent company. Serina started her career as a Money Markets and Eurodollar futures trader for Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi.
Serina replaces Jennifer Kuritz, a 10-year veteran of Nissan, who is leaving the company after deciding not to relocate to Nashville, where NNA recently moved its headquarters operations.
