Local Man Digs Up Buried Volvo in Worldwide Treasure Hunt for Buried SUV

Dave Hutz to receive tricked out 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest'

  XC90 V8 Wednesday, Sept. 6, 11 a.m. at Don Beyer Volvo - Falls Church

                      Media Alert/Photo Opportunity

WHY: The treasure's done been found! Dave Hutz, a 30 year-old man
from Herndon, Va., reached true pirate status when he uncovered
a buried Volvo XC90 V8 SUV in the Islands of the Bahamas after a
challenging two month global, multi-media treasure hunt for the
vehicle Volvo Car Corporation secretly hid as part of its
sponsorship of Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's
            Chest."

Hutz now will receive his grand prize Volvo XC90 V8 that spent
three months buried underground on Abaco Island.

WHAT: The event for Hutz's family and friends will include screening a
series of action-packed Webisodes chronicling the final stages
of The Hunt, officially presenting the car to Hutz and lunch.

Upon completion of the race, Hutz announced he will be giving
the car to his wife, Sheila, who also will be in attendance. The
buried, one-of-a-kind Volvo XC90 features a variety of elements
inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean, including menacing
graphics from the film, black leather seats, custom painted 20
            inch wheels and more.

Hutz, a computer programmer, competed against six other final
leg finalists, including his father, in a grueling, clue-filled
search conducted by foot, boat, motor vehicle and helicopter in
a competition reminiscent of reality TV shows.

The wildly popular multi-media campaign elicited participation
from more than 52,000 online contestants in the United States
alone. Other countries participating included Austria, Japan,
            Spain and United Kingdom.

Zizzle Toys also will provide Hutz with a $350 Pirates of the
            Caribbean toy package.
