Honda Presents New CR-V in Europe
TOKYO - September 4, 2006: Honda Motor Co., Ltd.
will debut the third-generation CR-V at the Paris Motor Show to be held
September 28 to October 15, 2006.
The exterior styling of
the new CR-V gives it a dynamic presence,
while a low center of gravity and wide tread layout provide for sedan-like
driving performance. The new CR-V also features Honda's Advanced
Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure and other advanced
equipment for superior safety performance.
The New CR-V will be introduced in North America in September 2006
and in Japan in mid-October 2006. Sales in European markets are scheduled to
begin in January 2007. In Europe, the CR-V will be offered with either
an all-new 2.0-liter i-VTEC gasoline engine or a 2.2-liter i-CTDi diesel
engine, while models sold in Japan and North America will feature a
2.4-liter i-VTEC gasoline engine.
Since its
introduction in 1995, superior comfort in city driving and
off-road maneuverability have made the CR-V popular with customers
worldwide. Some 2.5 million units have been sold in over 160 countries.
