Casper Seifert New CFO of Mekonomen AB

STOCKHOLM, Sweden--Sept. 4, 2006--Casper Seifert has been appointed new CFO of Mekonomen (STO:MEKOB) and will assume his position on September 18 2006. Seifert will be responsible for accounting, finance and administration.

Casper Seifert is 35 years old and joins Mekonomen from Trio AB, where he was employed as CFO. Prior to that, he worked as Vice President of The Phone House and in leading financial positions within the EF Group, including as financial manager of the EF Group's Parent Company in Switzerland.

Mekonomen is Scandinavia's leading automotive parts chain and offers car workshops and private car owners a broad range of spare parts and accessories for cars. Mekonomen has been listed on the O list of the Stockholm Stock Exchange since May 29 2000. In Scandinavia, Mekonomen has 700 affiliated workshops that are marketed using its own brand and 193 Mekonomen stores. Mekonomen has 1,300 employees and sales of SEK 2,333 M (2005).
