Brix Qualifies 19th in Kodak Car
For Rolex Series Season Finale
At Miller Matarsports Park

TOOELE,  Utah, Sept.  1  -  Oh Friday Harrison Brix put the Feeds the  Need/Doran
Racing  DORAN JE4   Ford  No.   77  into  the  field  for   Saturday's  Discount  Tire
Sunchaser Adex  Series season finale at Miller Momrsports Park.   Driving the  car
that carries the colors of the Kodak Easyshare System, Amp'd Mobile and SIRIUS,
the San Jose, Calif.-based driver qualified 19th in a field of 41 for the nine-hour race
that starts at noon tomorrow and will be broadcast live on SPEED beginning at 2 p.m.
Eastern time.

B ~ ~ K ' s qualifying time was a 2i41.956for an average speed of  99.71 6 miles per hour.
Sharing the car with Brix this weekend are NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver
Michel Jourdain Jr. of  Mexico City,  Mexico and Champ Car World Series star Oriol
Servia of   Miami.

"The car was more camistent in quallfyng, which is good for a nine-hour race," Brix
said.  "We were better in  the high-speed mrners too. The team is working really hard.
Doran Raclng is axcellent in preparing a car that  can go the distance, and Michel,
Oriol and I will do PUT best to bring it home in m e  piece tomorrow."

Tony Ave of   Moaresville, N.C. qualified the  red Doran  Racing DORAN JE4 Pmtiac
No. 78 in  23rd spot with a time of 243.830 (98.575 rnph).   His co-drivws am Oliver
Kutttner of  Charlottesville, Va.  and James Gue of Athens, Ga.The No. 78 is advertis-
ing two Web sites: yououghlloknowthis.com and nycshuttte.com, as well as Venom
Synthetic Lubricants.

"That's the quickest we've fun all weekend," Ave said.   "It should be a good car far
the race.  We're a bit down on acceleration but the balance Is  OK. We just don't have
enough overall grip, but we're working on it."

Scott Pruett got the pole in the CornpUSA car with a 237.998 (1 02.21 4 rnph), which
is an automatic track record since this is the Roler Series' first race on this 4.486-mile
road course.
