Mr. Gorrell has resigned his position as Partner and Head of Automotive effective 1 September to form a company offering management consulting in the automotive industry. Dan said, on submitting his statement of resignation, "There is no one I know in the industry who can do the job that Alexander will do. I have worked closely with him as a mentor, partner, and close friend and trust his competence and skills completely." Dan has led the NVES programs for Strategic Vision since 1994. Dr. Edwards remarked upon Dan's leaving, "Dan has been a revolutionary in the industry. He has taken the ordinary buyer's study and replaced it with a comprehensive study of the consumer. I believe that no one could have accomplished what Dan was able to do. He has set an industry standard."

Strategic Vision was started as a research and consulting company by Dr. Edwards and Susan Johnson in 1972. It was incorporated as Strategic Vision in 1989. Headquartered in San Diego, it has an international program managing key contacts nationwide and worldwide with key personnel in England, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, China and Russia. It's ValueCentered Psychology and Methods have been used for research and consulting with clients ranging from The Vatican with Pope John Paul II and The College of Cardinals from Prime Ministers and Presidents to corporate CEOs, product managers, research directors, R&D engineers and advertising creative staff. It currently delivers a comprehensive, integrated study of the automotive industry. In addition, it still manages programs in politics, consumer goods, medicine, transportation and travel, as well as communications and public relations. It has been responsible for so many product innovations, advertising programs, and political decisions that Margaret Thatcher, then Prime Minister of England called Strategic Vision "the quietest, most influential research and consulting organization in the world." Sharon Shedroff, a Founding Member of the organization, will assume the Presidency of the Consumer Division with its worldwide responsibility and teams. J. Susan Johnson, Co-Founder, remains as President of Strategic Vision and will coordinate the national and international programs and personnel.
