USAC/BCRA "SHOOTOUT" EXPECTED AT TRACY & MADERA

 

 

            Stars of USAC's Western Midget Car Series and the Bay Cities Racing Association (BCRA) will compete in this weekend's pair of races at California's Altamont Motorsports Park (Tracy) and Madera Speedway.

 

            USAC point leader Jerome Rodela of El Monte, Calif. and BCRA point leader John Sarale of Stockton, Calif. lead their respective series into Saturday's "Best of the West Open Wheel Classic" at Tracy and Monday's "Trigueiro Classic" at Madera.

 

            Rodela holds a 14-point lead over Tyler Brown in the USAC points, while Sarale is 43 points ahead of Travis Berryhill in the current BCRA standings.

 

            Rodela finished second in USAC's only previous 2006 appearance at Madera, a race won by Garratt Boyden. Sarale finished 12th. Rodela scored a second and a fifth in USAC's two outings this season at Tracy, won by Tony Hunt and Ryan Kaplan.
