Tony Leis Milwaukee Recap

Rookie Leis Finishes 6th at Milwaukee

For immediate Release

(8/28/06 - Mooresville, NC) - First time ARCA RE/MAX Series competitor, and
Wisconsin native, Tony Leis finished 6th in the Governor's Cup 200 at the
Milwaukee Mile on Sunday afternoon.

The 20-year old, now living in Mooresville, NC made the trip to his home
state knowing he would be competing against ARCA RE/MAX Series veterans but also
aware that he had the experience and support of veteran Owner and Crew Chief
Bob Schacht and the BSM Team behind him.

On Saturday, Leis managed to put down a lap of 31.502 sec. / 114.278 mph in
Pork Pole Qualifying, good enough to place the Hydro Cool / Volden
Construction / Bagniefski HVAC Ford 25th on the starting grid.

When the green flag waved on the Governor's Cup 200 on Sunday, Crew Chief
Bob Schacht immediately called Leis to pit road to make adjustments, sending
him to the tail of the field. Impressively Leis drove hard and worked his way
eventually into the Top-3. Late in the race two of the series veterans tangled
on a restart and caught Leis in the #24 up in it, but he managed to recover
and came to the line with a 6th place finish.

"This is the greatest day of my life." Said Leis, "It was awesome to come
out here and be able to race and be competitive with these guys, it was pretty
sweet knowing I had all of my family and friends here." Leis added, "I really
don't know what else to say it's just an awesome feeling, I want to thank
Bob for giving me this opportunity and everyone who supported me."

Bob Schacht said, "Tony did us an awesome job, he's a great kid, with a lot
of talent, he's very respectful and grateful and that means a lot today."

Driving from the 25th starting spot to a 6th place finish on Sunday earned
Leis the Hoosier Tire Hard Charger of the Race honors.

Tony Leis and the Bob Schacht Motorsports Team are back in North Carolina
readying for the NASCAR Busch Series race this weekend in California with
driver, Mike Bliss and SKI Motorsports.
