MR. Rossmeyer. This is getting out of hand. And I am extremely concerned that you must
not know how your sales staff, your sales manager, Brad is misrepresenting your
corporation and coercing, extorting customers into sales that they do not want
nor in this case can handle per their road experience.

I assume there is some type of training program whereas you have explained to
your sales staff that they DO NOT need to misrepresent the product, that they
do not need to make false statements, that they do not lie to make a sale.
Especially when it is very obvious that a customer, is not big enough, strong
enough to handle the product with out placing themselves in a life threatening
situation with a motorcycle, sidecar configuration that we all know would require
a more experienced person, a person that has received some instruction and warnings
prior to conning them into buying such a product. Along with several days, weeks of
training to be able to handle such a product, and not at all off the showroom floor,
not even your most experienced motorcyclists could get on a motorcycle with asidecar
and not have some immediate concerns and fears.

A man in the general range of 180 pounds, at least 6 feet tall and extremely
strong would have difficulty in maneuvering such an arrangement, yet your
sales person, manager, Brad continued to take advantage of the customer,
my daughter and her inexperience and sold her a motorcycle with sidecar
that is not one of the popular accessories that is fitted onto a Harley Davidson.
My daughter does not even come close to the minimum physical requirements to
handle a Ultra Classic with a side car. The sales person, Brad should know
this and not force a sale upon her with false promises and out and out lies
on how ‘easy and comfortable‘ it would be. You will not find a ‘sidecar’ as
something that Harley Davidson would recommend, and in most dealerships, a
side car is special order which would explain why the sales of sidecars is
more of a rarity even among experienced drivers. What sales person in their
right minds would even consider placing someone in danger just to make a sale.
Well that was a dumb question, wasn’t it? Your sales persons would! That must
be part of how they are trained and advised when making sales.

I would assume I do not have to educate you into what it takes to teach an
experienced rider better handling and safety skills for a motorcycle with
a sidecar, and I assume that your sales staff must have some knowledge in
this area too. Your sales person, Mr. Dave Alberts at least understood that
it was not his area of expertise and asked your sales manager Brad to help
my daughter with her questions. This is where you must lack better judgment
in hiring personnel since I have never known of a Harley Dealership that
needed to lie to customers to make a sale.

There is something seriously wrong with a staff member that jeopardizes
the life of a customer just to make a commission. Granted we have put
that problem aside and now we find that your sales person Brad, has
further represented your firms lack of business integrity and
intimidated my daughter into yet another monster bike, that even you
would struggle with. Why? to increase the sale, place her in further
danger, and extort yet another sale out of a person, that traded in
two motorcycles, with which obviously displayed her motorcycle
experience and abilities. Any sales person with half a brain would
have taken that into consideration when showing product in your showroom.

Do you not take the time to train your personnel in managing their sales?
Your customers and potential life time clients? Obviously not. And this is
why I bring this to your attention, my daughter‘s safety, based on the
purchase of a motorcycle because she was intimated into either accepting
what she was shown along with the statement of your representative‘,
Brad that she would be ‘out of luck’, if she did not take the bike offered.

I spoke to this person, and he was extremely argumentative, very disagreeable,
very rude, and down right ‘barbaric’ in handling this situation. So unsure of
himself he had to bring in yet another individual into listening to words he
took out of context and rearranged to hear himself praise his performance,
continuing to argue. After about fifteen minutes he states, he does not have
to discuss the situation with me, yet he managed to ramble on for better then
fifteen minutes. I call that being out of control. I am sure you must see the
lack of professionalism in this individual. This tells me there are some
serious corporate problems in your training program when a supposed ‘manager‘,
goes off the deep end and must surely be breaking the policies set forth by
even the most mediocre of corporation hand book guide lines.

Of course he could be a family member which would explain why someone would
tolerate this form of business mismanagement and ignorance of the most simple
part of doing business. Keep customers happy, work out problems in a very
reasonable manner, and represent the firms honesty and integrity at all costs.

This person, this transaction, the handling of the problem was so poorly managed,
I can’t help but want to, need to advise people. This is so typical of the way
business is run here in Florida.
