Red Bull Racing's Guide To Local Cuisine

DONER KEBAB RECIPE
1 Elephant's foot
50g black pepper
2 kilos elephant fat, ground
1 egg
150g salt
1 litre onion juice
1 cup olive oil
First, kill your elephant. Remove one of its feet (store rest of elephant in freezer.) Remove any bits of skin and bone from the meat. Place on a rotating skewer in a shop window or mobile caravan. Cut into serving- size pieces. Pound with a meat tenderizer or the edge of a heavy customer until 1/8 cm thick. Prepare a marinade  of  onion  juice,  olive  oil,  salt  and  pepper  and  soak  meat  in  the  marinade  12-24  hours.  Soak elephant fat in hot water. Remove pieces of meat from the marinade. Spread over each piece of meat the elephant fat and ground elephant mixed with egg. Thread pieces of meat on a long skewer, starting with larger  pieces.  Trim  the  chunk  of  meat  on  the  skewer  and  add  trimmings  to  the  end  of  the  skewer.  The chunk of meat is broiled in the Doner Kebab broiler, made especially for the purpose.

DAVID COULTHARD, 1st Practice P-, 2nd Practice P28
"I had a spin exiting Turn six and my tyres needed rebalancing as a result, so my second session finished early. The track's pretty bumpy, which is similar to last year and Turn eight is as challenging as we thought it would be. But, that said, it's one corner, it doesn't make or break the lap as you've all the other corners to negotiate too, but it's certainly challenging.

CHRISTIAN KLIEN, 1st Practice P-, 2nd Practice P22
"The second session was a lot more exciting as I did three runs, rather than just one installation lap! The track is nice to drive here and I like it a lot. We were a little off with the car balance for our first run, which meant there was a lot of oversteer, but we changed the set up and it was better by the end. We suffered quite a lot of graining today, but that should improve tomorrow and we'll keep on working hard for a good result."

ROBERT DOORNBOS, 1st Practice P9, 2nd Practice P7
"It's a great circuit here and Turkey's a great place to be. We were unfortunate today as the car had some problems,  meaning  we  lost  track  time  and  weren't  that  competitive.  But,  most  importantly,  we  have  an answer on the tyres, which is what we're here for so that's good. I had a bit of an incident towards the end of  the  session.  Everyone's  trying  to  put  in  good  laps,  I  was  on  a  good  time  and  ended  up  in  a  bit  of  a 'chicken' game with Alonso. It was a case of 'who's going to brake latest', but that's all there was to it."
