Older Drivers Take Safety Course Without Leaving Their
Driveway - VIDEO NEWS STORY
WASHINGTON, DC - August 25, 2006:
Driver safety is an ongoing concern worldwide,
particularly for teenagers and older individuals. There are an estimated 75
million licensed drivers over the age of 50, according to the Federal
Highway Administration. To encourage these drivers to evaluate their
driving skills and to keep up with changing road regulations, AARP is
offering an online driver safety course that can be taken from one's home.
The eight-hour course, which can be completed in one or multiple sittings,
reviews new laws and rules and addresses issues related to the aging
process.
