ULTIMATE RACE FAN VIEWING PARTY

RETURNS TO IRWINDALE SPEEDWAY THIS SATURDAY WITH RACING ACTION ON
THE TRACK AND ON THE GIANT SCREEN

IRWINDALE, Calif. (August 23, 2006)
– Motor racing fans will be able to participate in the ultimate race fan viewing
party on Villa Roma Sausage Night at Irwindale Speedway this Saturday, August
26.

During the evening Irwindale Speedway
will simultaneously show TNT Network’s coverage of the Sharpie 500 NASCAR Nextel
race from Bristol Motor Speedway on a giant 20’ X 27’ vision screen while
conducting its weekly racing program. The screen will be positioned near the
main grandstand, providing spectators with an unobstructed view of the broadcast
while watching racing action on the track. Irwindale Speedway made a similar
arrangement back on May 20 showing television coverage of the NASCAR Nextel
All-Star Challenge.

“We know that our fans sometimes have
to make a choice between staying home to watch the television broadcast of a
NASCAR Nextel Cup race and coming to Irwindale Speedway,” said Bob DeFazio COO
and General Manager of Irwindale Speedway. “By having the screen, our fans won’t
need to make that choice and will experience the ultimate by watching
entertaining racing on the track and on the giant screen at the same
time!”

TNT’s pre-race coverage of the Sharpie
500 begins at 4 p.m. PDT (7 p.m. EDT) with spectator gates opening at that time.
Broadcast coverage of the race will begin at 4:30 p.m., simultaneous to
qualifying action on the track.

A unique schedule of racing action on
the track will include the return of open-wheel racing with the USAC Western
Sprint Car series and the Ford Focus Midgets. The Auto Club Late Models return
with twin races. Defending champion Tim Huddleston of Agoura Hills, Calif. is
riding a two-race win streak and hopes to narrow the 39 point difference separating he and division leader Travis
Thirkettle of Newhall, Calif. The evening’s finale is the Pick Your Part Outlaw
Figure 8’s featuring Jesse James, host of the Discovery Channel’s Monster Garage
television series.

The King Taco fan appreciation
autograph session will take place on the track at 5:45 p.m. where spectators
will be able to meet the drivers and crew members. The first green flag waves at
7 p.m.
