Sharpie 500 - Bristol Motor Speedway Advance - 8/26/06

Target Team Fast Facts:

Short Trackin' It: Sorenson has 10 NASCAR starts in NEXTEL Cup
and Busch Series competition on the short tracks that appear on the
NEXTEL Cup Series Schedule (Bristol, Martinsville, Richmond). His best
finish is a third-place at Bristol in the Sept. 2005 Busch Series event.
He also has a fourth-place effort at Martinsville (Busch, July 2006) and
seventh at Richmond (Busch, Sept. 2005). His highest short-track finish
in Cup competition to date was 12th at Martinsville in March.

Chassis: Crew Chief Jimmy Elledge and the Target Team have
selected chassis #505 for this weekend's NEXTEL Cup event at Bristol.
This is the same car Sorenson and the Target team finished 19th with at
Dover in June (started 39th).

Tennessean: Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS) team
manger Tony Glover hails from Kingsport, Tenn. Glover has been involved
in racing for 33 years, with career highlights including back-to-back
Daytona 500 wins ('94, '95) as crew chief for Sterling Marling, 1991 AC
Delco crew chief of the year and 1992 Western Auto crew chief of the
year.

NEXTEL Cup Points Report: Sorenson and the Target team moved up
two positions to 21st in the overall standings after their eighth-place
finish in the last event at Michigan International Speedway. With a
total of 2329 points, the team is 20 points out of 20th and 155 out of
the top 15.

Rookie Round Up: Sorenson is currently third in the Raybestos
Rookie of the Year standings with 181 points. He trails leader Denny
Hamlin by 56 points. Sorenson has captured rookie of the race honors in
five of the 23 races run thus far in '06 (Atlanta - 10th, Martinsville -
12th, Michigan - fifth, Chicagoland - seventh, Michigan 2 - eighth).

Busch Series Update: Sorenson maintained 11th in the overall
Busch Series driver standings after his seventh-place finish in the last
event at Michigan. He is only 46 points out of 10th place.

*Sorenson will be driving the No. 41 NicoDerm CQ Smart Control Dodge in
this weekend's Busch Series race.

Reed Sorenson on Bristol...

"I consider Bristol one of, if not my favorite track on the circuit. I
grew up racing on short tracks and I always look forward to those races
on the schedule, especially Bristol. We had a solid run there early in
the season in the Cup car and we had two really good runs at the track
last season in the Busch car. You have to have a good handling car at
Bristol, but also a lot of luck because anything can happen. There is
plenty of beating and banging, and it's easy to get caught up in someone
else's mess because of the tight racing quarters. It's so much fun
though and I can't wait to get on track.

"The Target team is excited about many of the upcoming tracks. We were
really good at many of them the first time around this season, but
didn't necessarily get the finish we deserved. We're all hoping we can
put it all together the second time around."
