DaimlerChrysler Financial Services Volunteers To Help Refurbish Burton International School in Detroit

WHAT: Some 160-200 volunteers from the DaimlerChrysler Financial Services (DCFS) Finance Department (in Farmington Hills) will spend Thursday, August 24 helping refurbish the Burton International School in Detroit in conjunction with the Greater Corktown Development Corporation (GCDC). The volunteers will paint the school's interior, stain picnic tables, lay sod and add wood chips to the play area, as well as perform other general maintenance and repair functions.

OTHER: This is the second consecutive year members of the DCFS Finance Department have volunteered their time to work with the GCDC to improve this section of Detroit. Last year the volunteers concentrated on a general clean up of the Corktown Historic District.
