Marco Andretti on the Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma:
"I'm looking forward to racing at Infineon. Its one of the few tracks I've raced on previously and I won
out there in the Indy Pro Series last year. The NYSE team, and AGR as a whole, has been strong at the first
two road courses we've run at this year and I really think we'll be up front this weekend."
Marco Andretti Facts
The Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma will represent Andretti's 13th career IndyCar Series start.
By merely starting the Sonoma event, Andretti will clinch the IndyCar® Series Bombardier Rookie of
the Year award.
Andretti won the 2005 Indy Pro Series event at Sonoma.
He has three top-five finishes this season (second-Indianapolis, fourth-Richmond, fifth-Milwaukee).
Andretti has also recorded six top-10 finishes this year.
Andretti had a string of five consecutive top-10 finishes broken when he finished 17th at Kentucky
(fourth-Richmond, ninth-Kansas, eighth-Nashville, fifth-Milwaukee, eighth-Michigan).
Andretti placed second at the 90th running of the Indianapolis 500 in what was the second-closest
finish in the history of the event.
Andretti stands ninth in the IndyCar Series point standings, two points shy of eighth and eight points
shy of seventh place.
In earning Rookie of the Year honors at Indianapolis, he joined both his father and grandfather in
having earned the honor.
Marco is following in the footsteps of his grandfather Mario, father Michael, uncle Jeff and his second-
cousin John, each of whom have competed in Indy-style racing over the past four decades.
Andretti registered three victories (St. Petersburg, Indianapolis road course and Infineon Raceway),
five top-fives and three pole positions in six starts in the 2005 IRL Indy Pro Series.

Eddie Jones, Race Engineer,
#26 NYSE Dallara/Honda/Firestone, on the Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma:
"Infineon Raceway is a very challenging race. It bears a strong resemblance to Watkins Glen where
we had a very competitive race car. Marco also won the Indy Pro Series event at Infineon last year and that
gives us reason to be very optimistic. It is a difficult track to set up for because of the mixture of fast and slow
corners. I really expect for us to have a very competitive weekend."
