"It's hard to describe how excited I am to be going back to Infineon Raceway. It's special to be able
to race on a natural-terrain road course, let alone one that we won at a year ago. We've run well on the road
courses this year and this is a good opportunity for Team 7-Eleven to get back into victory lane."

Tony Kanaan Facts
The Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma marks Kanaan's 63rd career IndyCar Series start.
Kanaan registered his seventh top-five finish by placing fifth at Kentucky.
Kanaan earned his first victory of the 2006 season at Milwaukee.
Kanaan led a race-high 127 laps in dominating the field at Milwaukee.
He stands sixth in the driver's point standings with 339 points, just nine points shy of fifth place.
Kanaan won the Sonoma event in 2005 after starting the race from third position.
Kanaan also set an IndyCar Series record with 25 consecutive races finished, having completed 25
consecutive events dating from the 14th race of the 2003 season (Chicagoland, Sept. 7) through the
sixth event of the 2005 campaign (Texas, June 11).
Kanaan has seven career IndyCar Series wins (Phoenix 2003, 2004, Texas 2004, Nashville 2004,
Kansas 2005, Infineon 2005, Milwaukee 2006) and six IndyCar Series poles (Homestead 2003,
Phoenix 2003, Pikes Peak 2003 and 2004, Michigan 2004, Indianapolis 2005).

"Team 7-Eleven as a whole has been very competitive on the road and street circuits this year.
Infineon's biggest challenge is the wide variety of corners and rollercoaster elevation changes. Getting the
right balance of front and rear grip for each type of corner is difficult. The track is a physical test for the
drivers as well, because there is very little time in the lap for them to catch their breath."
