What: Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma, Round 13 of the Indy Racing League® IndyCar® Series
Where: Infineon Raceway, Sonoma, Calif.
When: Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006

Bryan Herta on the Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma:
"I enjoy going to Infineon because it's a difficult track and also very tight.  There just aren't a lot of
passing opportunities for our cars.  Trying to qualify well so you can run up front is the biggest challenge.  I
think the track is very challenging for drivers and probably one of the most physical tracks that I've raced on."

Bryan Herta Facts
Herta started eighth and finished 13th at Infineon in 2005 after late contact from Kosuke Matsuura
forced him to the pits and put him a lap down.
In five road course events since the start of the 2005 season, Herta has three top-10 finishes.
Herta has two previous open-wheel road course victories; those coming at Laguna Seca (1998, 1999).
He is currently in 11th place in the IndyCar Series championship, only 17 points out of seventh place.
Herta recorded a seventh-place finish at Milwaukee and a sixth-place result at Richmond.
Herta tallied a fourth-place result at the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, his best 2006 finish.
Herta garnered the first IndyCar Series win for XM Satellite Radio and the second of his IndyCar
Series career at Michigan in 2005.
Herta led 159 of 200 laps at Michigan in 2005, the most laps led by any driver in one race during 2005.
Herta is one of only 22 drivers to win two or more races in IndyCar Series history.
Herta was the only driver in 2005 to claim pole positions on a road course (St. Petersburg), a short
oval (Phoenix) and a superspeedway (Michigan).
His first IndyCar Series win came at Kansas Speedway in 2003 in only his third start for AGR.
Herta has four career major open-wheel racing wins and 10 poles.

George Klotz, Team Manager,
#7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone on the Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma:
"Infineon really plays to Bryan's strengths as a driver and it's a track where he enjoys racing.  I think
the XM Satellite Radio team will be fast right off the truck.  We took a step in the right direction at our last
event and this is a weekend where we should get a good result and move up in the championship."
