Cars Viewers Research Are The Cars They Buy - DUH!
Washington DC August 21, 2006; The AIADA newsletter reported that a study by NADAguides.com found a correlation between information researched by customers on their website and results to actual sales data, reported Auto Remarketing magazine.
"There are definite correlations between the cars people research and the cars people actually buy," explained Mark Perleberg, lead auto expert for NADAguides.com. For example, NADAguides.com executives said the 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid captured the most consumer interest in the second quarter, earning 9 percent of the website's total traffic.
Comparing these statistics to sales data, executives discovered that sales of the 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid increased an average of 1,734 percent during the months of April, May and June this year. Overall, the most popular section of the New Car Center on the website was four-door sedans, which captured nearly one-third of the traffic.
Despite the heightened interest in hybrids and other fuel efficient vehicles, the SUV segment still garnered 17 percent of the website's total traffic, which made it the second most researched vehicle segment.
