Hindi keeps up
short track mastery at Nodak Speedway!

 

August 21, 2006 (Minot, ND) Another short track another top 10 finish.  This
is getting old hat for Neon Dion Hindi.  Saturday night at Nodak Speedway in
Minot, ND the driver of the RealTruck.com J&J proved once again that he has
short tracks figured out.  The evening started on a positve with a 5th place
qualifying effort.  Hindi would finish 5th in his and transfer to the dash
where he would start 7th and bring the RealTruck.com J&J home 8th and also
start 8th in the feature.

 

On a very fast racetrack, Hindi would get a gret start and begin moving
forward.  While battling for 4th Hindi's right rear slid off the track and
caused a loss in momentum and let 3 cars past.  Hindi would ride in 8th when
leader Donny Schatz blew a right rear tire with 11 laps remaining.  It was
evident that the track had taken rubber, Hindi would ride on the concrete to
cool his tires under caution laps and that proved to be a wise move.  In the
last 11 laps 5 more cars would blow right rears but Hindi would keep his
cool and conserve just enough tire to bring the RealTruck.com car home 6th.


 

"I am a little disappointed." Said the smiling Hindi. "We had a 3rd place
car that we brought home 6th.  We were passing cars and I made a mistake off
2 that let 3 cars back by me.  I could see the rubber coming down so I
decided that 8th was going to be better than a blown tire and possibly a
wrecked race car.  When Donny blew I knew we had to be conservative because
we had virtually the same tire on.  We have 24 races left our goal is to be
battling in each of them for top 5's and wins."
