NASCAR Busch Series : Robots.com Race Review
Robots.com Race Review
August 19th, Michigan International Speedway. The RobotWorx Chevy
piloted by Jeff Green had a solid run Saturday at the Michigan
International Speedway finishing on the lead lap in 22nd place. The
NASCAR Busch Series race ended controversially with Dale Earnhardt
Jr. spinning Carl Edwards with one lap to go to take the victory.
The McGill Motorsports team qualified in the 30th position and
through some wise pit strategy by crew chief Ricky Pearson the
Robots.com #36 was able to move up into the top-five at the one-
quarter point of the race. Once the first round of pit stops cycled
through, the strategy helped to keep Green on the lead lap near the
top twenty, where he managed to run for most of the event. Green,
the 2000 NBS Champion, reached as high as third place in the running
order during a round of green flag pit stops later in the 125-lap event.
Over fifty guests of RobotWorx, an Ohio based integrator of
industrial robots were present to see the car emblazoned in their
company’s colors participate at one of the fastest speedways on the
NASCAR Busch Series circuit.
Next up for the NBS competitors is Friday night’s Food City 250 under
the lights at the Bristol Motor Speedway where the familiar face of
Tim Sauter will be behind the wheel of the #36 Lester Buildings Monte
Carlo SS. The annual event under the lights is one of them most
anticipated races of the year.
Affordable primary sponsorship is available on the McGill Motorsports
Chevy Monte Carlo SS for four of the remaining races on the 2006 NBS
schedule. Interested parties should contact John McGill at
