FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

!!! THE WEATHERMAN WINS !!!

BLOOMINGTON, IN (August 19, 2006) - Nobody knows more about how much rain the red clay at Bloomington Speedway can stand. By early afternoon yesterday, they had had that much rain and just a little more. Mike could see that there would be no way that the track could be ready for competition last night. In order to give the fans and competitors time to make other plans for the evening, Mike went ahead and cancelled the race early in the afternoon.

The weather this season has been strange this season has been strange. We have had several evenings where there has been heavy rain all around us; and we got little or no rain. Last night it was our turn.

We particularly regret losing our night in the Modified Wolfpack Challenge. This series would give our O'Neal Wood Product Modified drivers the opportunity to run against the best modified racers in the state on their home turf. Unfortunately, there simply isn't a place to put it in our schedule for this season. We'll look forward to opportunity to bring this show to our fans and competitors again next season.

Next week the Midwest Sprint Car Series will visit Bloomington Speedway. Plan on visiting us next Friday night to enjoy the best in sprint, modified, and super stock competition.
