Brad Keselowski to make Busch Series debut at Bristol Motor Speedway

Eddyville, KY– Brad Keselowski will make his first start on the NASCAR Busch Series for Keith Coleman Racing at Bristol Motor Speedway on August, 25.

Keselowski has made 37 career starts over the past three years in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. In 2005 he finished the season 21st in the Driver Points standings and recorded his first top-ten finish, a career best 7th place at Daytona Motor Speedway.

“This is what I’ve been working toward,” said Keselowski. “This is my chance to prove that I can race with the best drivers in the world and I’m really looking forward to it. “

The 22-year old Michigan native has been in racing for over 10 years. He moved from under the hood to behind the wheel in 1998 on the Senior Honda 120 Quarter Midget division, where he proudly notched six feature wins and five heat wins. The following year he competed on the Senior Honda 160 Quarter Midget division where he accumulated eight feature wins and eight heat wins in only 12 starts.

In 2000 Brad stepped up to the Factory Stock Division and continued his pattern of success by winning nine events and claiming Rookie of the Year honors at both the Auto City Speedway and the Dixie Speedway.

From 2001-2003 Keselowski competed on the Limited Late Model and Super Late Model series, all while holding down a day job with the family’s NCTS team. In three years he earned five wins, 16 fast qualifier positions and 14 top-five finishes.

Keselowski has one career start at the “World’s Fastest Half-Mile”, recording an 18th-place finish in 2005. He will also be the beneficiary of extra time on the track this year as he will be pulling double duty next weekend. In addition to racing for KCR, Keselowski will start in the #63 Truck for MB Motorsports in the O’Reilly Auto Parts 200 on Wednesday Aug. 23.
“It’s going to make for a very busy week, especially since I have to be in Toledo on Thursday,” said Keselowski. “But the added time on the track should be a real plus for us on Friday.”

“Brad is a good young driver who has earned his chance to drive for KCR,” said Keith Coleman, team owner. “We really think he can make some noise for us as we round out the season.”
