FULL SCHEDULE OF RACING
INCLUDING DEMOLITION DERBY HIGHLIGHT

SATURDAY
NIGHT RACING ACTION AT IRWINDALE SPEEDWAY

IRWINDALE, Calif. (August 16, 2006)
– This Saturday (August 19) is King Taco Family Night Presented by the Southern
California Pipe Trades at Irwindale Speedway and the racing schedule features
something that appeals to everybody. Youngsters 12 years of age and under are
admitted for free when accompanied by an adult. Six races are scheduled for the
evening including a Demolition Derby and twin races in the Lucas Oil Super Late
Model division.

While Van Knill of Tucson,
Ariz. is atop the Super Late Division with a 30 point lead over David Beat of Santee, Calif., it was
Beat’s impressive performance in his last race on July 29 overcoming severe
brake problems, notching his first ever victory at Irwindale Speedway which
moved him into second place in the standings. On Saturday night, Beat and the
other drivers will have a unique opportunity to further chip away at Knill’s
lead as they compete in a rare twin bill of races.

Ron Peterson thought he had
an insurmountable points lead in the King Taco Super Truck Division as a result
of an impressive eight race consecutive win streak. However, the Riverside, Calif. resident
has fallen off the pace in the last two races and now maintains only a nine
point lead over Pat Mintey Jr. of Quartz Hill, Calif.

While Tom Landreth of Alta
Loma, Calif.
leads the Legend Cars points battle, it has been Lindsey King of Cherry Valley,
Calif., who has captured everybody’s attention. King is among a handful of
females drivers competing in the division and has scored five top-three
finishes, allowing her to move into second place, 30 points behind Landreth.

The Bandoleros round out
the schedule along with a crowd-pleasing Demolition Derby serving as the
evening’s finale. Gates open at 4 p.m. with practice and qualifying heat
sessions. The King Taco fan appreciation autograph session takes place on the
track at 5:45 p.m. and green flag racing action is scheduled to begin at 7
p.m.

Coming up: August 26 - Villa Roma Sausage Night featuring the USAC Western
Sprint Car series, Ford Focus Midgets and the NASCAR Ultimate Viewing Party featuring a 20’ x 27’ LED giant screen
showing TNT Network’s broadcast of the NASCAR Nextel Cup Sharpie 500 in its
entirety, live from Bristol Motor Speedway….August 31 - Mopar D1 All-Star Drifting
Duel Presented by ShiftIntoGear featuring Kasey Kahne and other NASCAR Nextel
Cup drivers competing head-to-head in drifting competition against the top
Japanese and American drivers from the D1 Grand Prix Series.
