19th ANNUAL NHRA O'REILLY MID-SOUTH NATIONALS
MEMPHIS MOTORSPORTS PARK -- MEMPHIS, TENN.
AUGUST 18-20, 2006

Will to battle heat in first visit to Memphis*

MILLINGTON, Tenn. (August 16, 2006) -- The 23-race NHRA POWERade Drag
Racing Series moves to Memphis Motorsports Park in Memphis, Tenn., for
the NHRA O'Reilly Mid-South Nationals this weekend, the 17th event of 2006.

Back in the 50s, Memphis provided the winning start for Elvis Presley
and other "rock and roll" stars of his generation. Fifty years later,
Hillary Will, driver of the KB Racing LLC-owned, Kalitta
Motorsports-managed Top Fuel Dragster, hopes Memphis provides her a
drive to the Winner's Circle this Sunday.

Advance weather forecasts call for the temperatures to be near or over
100 degrees on Friday and Saturday during qualifying and a cooler 92
degrees during eliminations on Sunday, if you can call 92 degrees cool.

While Will has never raced on the quarter-mile in Memphis, she has heard
stories about the heat that is always prevalent in the Mississippi Delta
during the summer time. But the rookie driver has confidence in her
team and knows that they have the experience on hot, slippery tracks and
that experience can lead her to the final round of eliminations and the
win light.

Will, who is No. 9 in the NHRA POWERade Top Fuel point standings, is one
of the leading candidates for the Automobile Club of Southern California
Road to the Future Award. A win in Memphis would not only be her first
but would give the 26-year-old Will, a resident of Ypsilanti, Mich., who
grew up in Northern California, a boost in her quest for the prestigious
Rookie of the Year award.

Qualifying for Will and her KB Racing LLC-owned, Kalitta
Motorsports-managed team begins with two nitro fuel sessions on Friday,
August 18, scheduled for 5:30 and 8 p.m. and concludes with two
additional nitro fuel sessions on Saturday, August 19, at 3 and 7 p.m.
Will begins her quest for the O'Reilly Mid-South Nationals Top Fuel
title on Sunday, August 20, with eliminations for all classes beginning
at _3 p.m._ *NOTE THE LATE START FOR ELIMINATIONS. All times are local
Memphis time (CT) and subject to change at anytime. *

Qualifying highlights for the 19th annual NHRA O'Reilly Mid-South
Nationals can be seen on ESPN2 on Saturday (August 19) from 8 to 10
p.m. ESPN2 will also air same-day television coverage of eliminations
from 10 p.m. until 1 a.m. (Sunday, August 20 -- ending early Monday
morning). The elimination show repeats early Sunday morning (August 27)
from 3-5 a.m. Also, tune in to NHRA2Day on ESPN2, the weekly show that
gives you the latest information about the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing
Series. NHRA2Day can be seen on Sunday morning, August 20, from 11:30
a.m. - 12 noon. *Television times are Eastern Time (ET) and subject to
change at anytime. Check local listings.*
