Speedemissions and Environmental Systems Products Sign Pilot Agreement for New Product Rollout

ATLANTA--Aug. 15, 2006--Speedemissions, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SPMI), a leading vehicle emissions testing/safety inspections company with 35 testing stations in Atlanta, Houston and Salt Lake City, announced that it has signed a pilot joint venture agreement with ESP (Environmental Systems Products) to be one of two emissions testing-only companies in the U.S. to utilize ESP's new product SAM (Smart Auto Management). It is expected the SAM kiosk will be in stores no later than October 1st.

ESP, the worldwide leader in emission testing equipment headquartered in East Granby, CT, holds over 100 industry-related patents.

SAM is a simple, self-service kiosk designed to essentially x-ray any car manufactured in 1996 or later. It does this by accessing the car's computer, known as the On Board Diagnostic (OBD) system. SAM provides drivers the power to quickly and easily identify existing, as well as potential drivability and safety restraint problems. SAM can check for over 2,000 fault codes pertaining to the engine, transmission, body, chassis and safety restraint system, plus several more. It is then able to translate these complex alpha-numeric codes into simple English on a convenient print-out.

Rich Parlontieri, President and CEO of Speedemissions stated, "We continue to explore products and services to improve our customers' vehicles. By partnering with ESP, which has a reputation for innovative, high quality products, we'll be offering a product that should add value to the customer experience."
