BOCA RATON, Fla., Aug. 15, 2006 -- FordDirect.com has selected Intelliprice(TM) to provide vehicle trade valuations and sales leads for its 4,200 participating dealerships. The Intelliprice vehicle valuation service will be accessible at the FordDirect website and on various Ford Motor Co. brand sites, including Ford and Lincoln/Mercury. The announcement was made by Steve St. Andre, President and Chief Operating Officer of FordDirect and Mike McFall, President of Veretech, Inc., which provides the Intelliprice branded trade valuation tool.
"FordDirect.com is designed to provide consumers a superior shopping experience and to connect them to their local Ford dealer when they're ready to make their Ford purchase," said St. Andre. "Intelliprice is another great tool we can use to enhance the consumer experience and provide additional sales opportunities to our dealers."
FordDirect leads are projected to account for over 250,000 Ford Motor Company sales in 2006. The integrated Intelliprice trade-in tool gives FordDirect and its dealers a way to capture valuable information on Ford intenders who may have otherwise left the site to seek the trade-in data elsewhere. St. Andre says, "Providing trade-in evaluation content on Ford Motor Company sites from a trusted 3rd party source like Intelliprice is great for the consumer's experience while allowing Ford Motor Company dealers to better serve the prospective buyer."
"We are extremely pleased and excited to be working with FordDirect. They have been pioneers in adapting the Internet for the retail automotive market and they're one of the true innovators in the field. We're confident that we can continue to provide quality sales leads and enhance the shopping and buying experience for FordDirect's customers," said McFall.
FordDirect.com is a joint venture between Ford Motor Company (FMC) and its Ford franchised dealers to provide marketing services to FMC dealers and a best-in-class online shopping experience for consumers.
