ACDelco Congratulates its ACDelco Extreme Makeover Promotion Winners

GRAND BLANC, MICH. — Many popular shows on television today transform and rebuild rooms and houses. The ACDelco Extreme Makeover promotion is the automotive aftermarket’s response, awarding winning ACDelco Total Service Support (TSS) accounts with ACDelco funding to enhance their business’ image. ACDelco congratulates the 10 Grand Prize winners and numerous runners-up in its ACDelco Extreme Makeover promotion.

“We had great response, with over 250 ACDelco TSS accounts enrolling in the ACDelco Extreme Makeover promotion,” said Kim Lukas, ACDelco advertising specialist. “Customers are drawn to clean, professional-looking locations, and this is a great way for the winners and runners-up alike to promote their businesses and strengthen their alignment with ACDelco in a very appealing way.”

Each winning ACDelco TSS account awarded the Grand Prize package receives up to $10,000 in support of image enhancement. Each package is tailored to the winning shop’s specific requirements and features ACDelco-branded elements, such as a counter graphic, garage door graphics, a wall / border stripe, store entrance / exit graphics, tire wraps, paint, and flooring.

Each runner-up ACDelco TSS account receives an ACDelco image package featuring ACDelco image/appearance items valued at more than $500. Items include a counter graphic, wall stripe / border, a store hours-with-numbers graphic, and store entrance / exit graphics. Professional installation is included for each location.

ACDelco TSS account Grand Prize winners began undergoing their ACDelco Extreme Makeovers in July. Photos of some of them will be displayed at the upcoming ACDelco National Convention in Las Vegas in October. The ACDelco Extreme Makeover promotion ran from February 1 – April 30, 2006. Open to Independent Service Centers (ISCs) that participate in ACDelco’s TSS program, it selected one winner in each of ACDelco’s 10 U.S. Zone territories based on purchases of ACDelco products, sales growth, and existing state of operations. Eligible TSS accounts pre-qualified based on 2005 sales performance and an established criteria checklist to compete for the Grand Prize.
