USAC Northeast Focus Release - SMITH LEADS ABOLD INTO NORTHEAST FOCUS RACE AT BELMAR, N.J.

INDIANAPOLIS – Ryan Smith continues his march toward the USAC Northeast Ford
Focus Midget Car Series championship Saturday at Wall Township Speedway in
Belmar, N.J.

Smith, of Kunkletown, Pa., owns a 19-point lead over Jeff Abold with only
four races to go. The pair has dominated the season so far, having won three
feature races each and six of the seven starts. Smith has won the last two.
Only Nick Wean, third in the standings and 50 points out of first, has
broken Abold and Smith’s dominance.

Saturday’s race at Belmar is a makeup date from June 24, and USAC’s first
Focus race in the Garden State.
