WHAT: Announcement of the start of production for the all-new 2007 Dodge Nitro. As the first mid-size SUV for the Dodge brand, the Nitro-will be available in three models: the Dodge Nitro SXT, Dodge Nitro SLT and Dodge Nitro R/T, which are differentiated by powertrains, feature and option selections. The Dodge Nitro brings attitude to the mid-size sport-utility vehicle segment with its purposeful, capable and assertive stance.
Byron Green, Vice President - Truck and Activity Vehicle Assembly Operations, Chrysler Group; Luis Rivas, Plant Manager - Toledo North Assembly Plant; and Dan Henneman, Local 12 Jeep Unit Chairman, UAW will host a media tour of the plant and roundtable to discuss Chrysler Group's flexible manufacturing strategy and $600 million investment.
