Clarion Corporation of America Ranks Highest in J.D. Power and Associates 2006 Vehicle Multimedia Quality and Satisfaction Study
DETROIT, Aug. 11, 2006 -- Clarion Corporation of America, a global leader in the mobile electronics industry, received the industry's highest quality award by J.D. Power and Associates for the AM/FM/ Multi CD Changer radio segment of the 2006 Vehicle Multimedia Quality and Satisfaction Study.
Clarion supplies the industry's highest quality AM/FM/ Multi CD Changer radio to more than seven vehicle models in the North American market. The Clarion system ranks the highest in this segment with an overall score of 6.1 problems per 100 vehicles (PP100), well below the industry standard number of reported problems in this segment (The lower the PP100 reported number, the higher the product quality).
The J.D. Power and Associates 2006 Multimedia Quality and Satisfaction Study measures owner experiences with the quality, design satisfaction and features of automotive multimedia systems in new vehicles. This study released on August 3, is based on responses from 63,607 owners of new 2006 model year vehicles.
