Delphi Statement on Death of Margaret K. "Maggie" Miller, Wife of Chairman & CEO Steve Miller

Margaret K. "Maggie" Miller, wife of Delphi Chairman and CEO Robert S. "Steve" Miller passed away at 12:33 a.m. today at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. She was 69 years old and had been ill briefly following diagnosis in late May of a brain tumor.

The employees and leadership of Delphi extend their deepest sympathy to Steve and the family, and have asked for the family's privacy to be respected during this difficult time.

Arrangements for Mrs. Miller will be private.

                      Margaret Kyger "Maggie" Miller

Maggie Miller was born June 25, 1937 at the U.S. Naval Base in Pensacola, Florida to Captain Jacob H. Kyger and his wife Anne Lamont Kyger. She subsequently was stationed with her family in Philadelphia, PA; Lake Forest, IL; and Santa Barbara, CA, where she attended Santa Barbara High School.

She met Robert S. "Steve" Miller in Cambridge, Mass., and they were married November 9, 1966.

Mrs. Miller was well traveled and lived with her family during her husband's corporate assignments in California, Michigan, Mexico, Australia, Venezuela, New York City and elsewhere. Her permanent residence is in Sunriver, Oregon. She was an avid collector of antique glass artifacts and sculpture and was an amateur archeologist. She also was a genealogy enthusiast and had recently completed the 50,000th addition, dating back to the 1600s, of the Miller and Kyger family histories. Her most passionate interest was working with her husband, Delphi Chairman and CEO Robert S. "Steve" Miller, on the Coos & Deschutes model railroad in their Sunriver home.

During extended residencies in Detroit, Mrs. Miller was an active participant in the revitalization of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and also served as a volunteer at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband, their three sons: Christopher (Barbara) of Portland, Oregon; Robin (Geneva) of Bandon, Oregon; and Alexander (Mary Jane) of Grand Rapids, Michigan; and seven grandchildren: Trevor, Evan, Logan, Colton, Weston, Lachlan and Harrison. She also had two sisters.
