Tonis Kasemets Joining East Coast Fans in Person

EAST LANSING, Michigan (August 10, 2006) – Rocketsports Racing driver Tonis Kasemets will have a busy time this weekend, as he will be making his debut in the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series with Rocketsports Racing driving the #50 Rocketsports Ford-Crawford and teaming up with Tomy Drissi at Watkins Glen for the Crown Royal 250 at The Glen on Friday night, then he will meet up with his fans on the East Coast to watch the Grand Prix of Denver Presented by Bridgestone on Sunday.

An invite was sent out early this week encouraging fans from the East Coast to join Kasemets in his first “Tonis Kasemets Fan Appreciation Party”.  The Estonian driver is excited to hang out with his fans, sign autographs and share some of his experience so far this season as a driver for Rocketsports Racing, while sharing the excitement of watching the live action of the Champ Cars in Denver.  

The party takes place at The Rach ‘n’ Roll Sports Club (268 Atlantic Street) in Stamford, Connecticut on Sunday August 13th.  There is no cover charge and there will be plenty of food and drink specials available for this special event.  One unique angle to this party will be the “special” drinks that are in the works of being created and named in honor of Tonis.  

Kasemets signed a six-race deal with the Rocketsports Champ Car team and has made four Champ Car starts (Portland, Cleveland, Toronto and Edmonton).  He will return to the cockpit of the #18 Flexovit Abrasives/Rocketsports Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone in September for Champ Car’s return to Road America, in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
