Speedemissions Adds New Director - Michael Guirlinger of the Language Access Network

ATLANTA--Aug. 10, 2006--Speedemissions, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SPMI), a leading vehicle emissions testing/safety inspections company with testing stations in Atlanta, Houston and Salt Lake City, announced that Michael E. Guirlinger, CEO/COO of the Language Access Network, a publicly traded company, is joining the Board of Directors of Speedemissions.

Mr. Guirlinger has an MBA from Ohio State University and a business career that spans nearly 35 years with publicly traded and privately held companies. Much of his experience is in the financial services industry, including seven years with The Banc Stock Group and Shareholder Online as President and CEO. He developed the company into a full-service research, mutual fund, investment banking and brokerage firm.
