Mercedes-Benz Financial Volunteers Help Teens Who Need a Place to Live by Refurbishing Olive Crest Run Homes in Orange County
WHAT: Approximately 42 Volunteers from the Mercedes-Benz Financial West Business Center in Costa Mesa will be spending Thursday, August 10, painting, cleaning and doing light repairs on seven houses run by Olive Crest Homes & Services for Abused Children as homes for teens with no place to go. WHO: Mark Ingram, Director -- West Business Center for Mercedes-Benz Financial (12:30 - 2:30 p.m.), will be on site working along side the other employee volunteers. WHEN: Noon - 3 p.m., Thursday, August 10 WHERE: 19356 Saylor Terrace Santa Ana, CA OTHER: Olive Crest maintains eight homes for teenagers who for various reasons cannot live with their parents and are too old to be picked up by the foster system. Each home has six resident teens as well as an Olive Crest Supervisor. The Mercedes-Benz Financial volunteers will be split into six groups and refurbish six of the homes. Each home has different needs, so each group will have a "custom make-over" but all will be re-painted on the interior.
