MICHNOWICZ RETURNS TO CALIFORNIA DIRT POINT LEAD WITH WIN

INDIANAPOLIS – Bobby Michnowicz has retaken the USAC California Ford Focus
Dirt Midget Car Series point lead after winning Wednesday at Ventura Raceway
in California.

Michnowicz, now three points ahead of Keith Janca who held the lead going
into the event, led the final 11 laps of the 20-lap race, passing Chris
Veach on Lap 10. From there, he was untouched to score his fourth victory of
the season, beating Veach, Janca, Quintin Crye and Brett Engstrom.

Veach moved to within 11 points of Michnowicz with three series races
remaining, the next being Sept. 16 at Bakersfield Speedway in California.
The next California Ford Focus Pavement Midget Car Series race is scheduled
Aug. 26 at Irwindale Speedway in California.
