MapQuest's Route Builder Could Put Someone in the Driver's Seat
MapQuest Announces Crossfire Summer Giveaway Sweepstakes to Win a Chrysler Crossfire Roadster Limited
DENVER - August 7, 2006: Just in time for the last thrills of summer, MapQuest and the Chrysler brand today announced the MapQuest Crossfire Summer Giveaway Sweepstakes in which consumers have the chance to win one of the hottest convertibles on the road - the Chrysler Crossfire Roadster Limited.
Whether it's to plan a favorite summer road trip, a Sunday drive, or just conduct errands about town, people who try MapQuest's new Route Builder (users can map out a trip with up to ten destinations) will be able to enter the Sweepstakes for the chance to win a Crossfire Roadster, valued at approximately $40,000.
MapQuest's new multi-point routing system, the #1 requested feature among the millions of MapQuest consumers, lets travelers save time and money by mapping out their entire journey - and multiple destination stops in between - in one convenient step.
The MapQuest Crossfire Summer Giveaway Sweepstakes runs from August 1, 2006, to September 12, 2006, and is open to legal U.S. residents and the District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age or older. Visitors to the site www.mapquest.com or www.mapquest.com/features/main.adp?page=mq_chrysler just need to build a route with at least three destinations on MapQuest's new multi-point Route Builder and then submit their route for entry into the sweepstakes giveaway. They can also provide any commentary to the story behind their chosen route. People can enter once a day and also can increase their chances of winning by clicking the "Tell a Friend" tab where they can earn up to five additional entries for five referrals.
"What better way to hit the road than in a hot, new convertible?" said Jim Greiner, VP and GM of MapQuest. "MapQuest's Route Builder allows consumers to plot out an efficient route with a variety of stops along the way and the Chrysler Crossfire Roadster will get them to all their destinations with speed and style."
MapQuest's multi-point route planning feature allows users to:
-- Add up to 10 location destinations along a route
-- Search for destination by address or place name
-- Optimize route to avoid highways or toll roads
-- Find places along the way such as gas stations, hotels, restaurants, ATMs, and more
-- Re-order stops just by dragging and dropping - the route will automatically recalculate driving directions
-- Print, or email route
-- Choose to show or hide directions as the route is plotted
