Electrical problems force Long from field
Eddyville, KY. – Carl Long had to make an early exit from the Kroger 200 on Saturday at Indianapolis Raceway Park when the #23 LoveFiFi.com Chevrolet experienced a loss of electrical power.
“We still don’t know exactly what the problem was,” said Crew Chief Ronnie Griffin. “It is definitely frustrating though because we had made some adjustments and Carl said it felt great and he was ready to race.”
Instead, Long left the track after 34 laps and ended in 43rd position. The race was won by season points leader Kevin Harvick.
Next up for the KCR team is the road course race at Watkins Glen International where Mexico native Eduardo Troconis will make his NASCAR Busch Series debut behind the wheel of the #23 on Saturday.
