Long goes for fourth consecutive start at IRP
Eddyville, KY. – Carl Long will attempt to qualify for his fourth consecutive NASCAR Busch Series race on Saturday. It will be Long’s first NASCAR event at Indianapolis Raceway Park and the first time he has raced the #26 LoveFiFi.com Chevrolet for Keith Coleman Racing this season.
“We want to go out and build on the success we’ve had over the last three weeks,” said crew chief Ronnie Griffin. “Carl has done a good job of getting us into the races and we’ve gotten a little better in those races each time out. “
IRP is a .686 mile oval and the challenge of racing on a short track is something Long says he enjoys.
“I’ve always liked racing on the short tracks,” said Long. “There is so much going on around you that you have to be alert all the time. It’s a lot of fun.”
Qualifying will air on Speed TV at 6:05 p.m. on Saturday and the race follows at 9:05 p.m. on TNT. All times are eastern.
