Guy Cosmo will return to the seat of the No.19 Playboy/Uniden/Palms Ford-powered Daytona Prototype

GUY COSMO JOINS GIDLEY AND MCDOWELL FOR SEASON-ENDING DISCOUNT TIRE
SUNCHASER AT MILLER MOTORSPORTS PARK

MOORESVILLE, NC (August 2, 2006) – Finlay Motorsports announced
earlier today that Guy Cosmo will return to the seat of the No.19
Playboy/Uniden/Palms Ford-powered Daytona Prototype machine for the
season-ending Discount Tire Sunchaser 9-hour at Miller Motorsports
Park the weekend of September 2nd.

Guy Cosmo, believed to be one of the most successful and versatile
young racing talents around will share the driving duties with Memo
Gidley and Michael McDowell for the final round of the 2006 Grand
American Rolex Series Presented by Crown Royal Special Reserve.

Cosmo filled in for Memo Gidley earlier this season, after Gidley was
injured in an incident during the morning warm up for the inaugural
Crown Royal Daytona Prototype Challenge on the streets of Long
Beach. Co-driving with Michael McDowell at Virginia International
Raceway, Laguna Seca Raceway and Phoenix International Raceway Cosmo
helped the team score three top-10 finishes in a row. (Virginia –
4th, Laguna – 4th, Phoenix – 6th)

“I’m thrilled to be back behind the wheel of the Playboy/Uniden/Palms
car,” said Guy Cosmo. “We had a great run together earlier this year
and I’m looking forward to continuing the success at Miller. I’ve
never been to the Miller Motorsports Park facility but my teammates
Memo and Michael participated in a two day test there in June so I’m
sure they’ll get me up to speed quickly. I’ve really enjoyed my
friendship with Michael, he’s a great guy to work with and I’m
looking forward to driving with Memo instead of filling in for him.
It should be a great weekend!”

With overall racing talent and major successes including the 2005
American Le Mans Series Rookie of the Year, the 2002 Star Mazda North
American Championship and the 1997 Formula Ford 1600 Southeast
Division Championship Cosmo was an easy choice for the 9-hour event
at Miller.

“It’s a great opportunity to bring Guy back,” said Steve Cameron,
Team President. “He did an exceptional job filling in for Memo and
he’s just a great fit with our team. I think it should be a strong
driver line-up and a good opportunity for us to finish out the season
on top.”

The Finlay Motorsports team will next compete at Watkins Glen
International Raceway on August 11th where they will share the
weekend with the NACAR Busch and Nextel Cup Series.
