XM Satellite Radio's Nightshift Debuts in New York's Shea Stadium

IRVINE, Calif.--Aug. 3, 2006--

  G-Unit's Lloyd Banks, N.O.R.E. to perform center stage with nation's top models and custom cars  



XM Satellite Radio's Nightshift, produced by the creators of Hot Import Nights (HIN), will make its debut in New York on August 12 at Shea Stadium, 4-11 p.m. HIN, the nation's largest lifestyle custom car show, will host its Nightshift event so that New Yorkers will not only see the nation's hottest custom cars, but they will also experience drifting, sport bike competitions, driving demos and Lloyd Banks and N.O.R.E in concert together.

Lloyd Banks will perform songs from his upcoming album Rotten Apple that will be released on September 19. Joining Banks on center stage is fellow rapper N.O.R.E, formerly known as Noreaga. His most recent English album, 1 Fan A Day, was released last November and featured guest spots from Kanye West, Beanie Siegel, Big Pun, Ashanti, Daddy Yankee and Mariah Carey. His song "Deportes EA" was featured on NBA Live '06 with collaborations from GemStar and Big Mato.

As one of the fashion capitals of the world, New York's Nightshift will feature a special fashion show produced by one of Russia's top models, Polina Raygordskaya, with designs from Donna L'oren and Damian Blaize. Some of the hottest models from across the country, including Miss HIN Charlotte Amber Sulligan and models straight from the runways of the Vogue fashion show, will strut their stuff wearing Donna L'oren's last collection of high-end lingerie. In addition, the show will be captured by renowned photographers Abbe Foreman and Steffon Rambersad. Adding to the all-star cast is famed make-up artist Aleksandra Ambrozy and hair stylist Alison Johnson.

On the automotive front, Dunlop will host special drifting demos throughout the night, and General Motors will give each show attendee the opportunity to test drive the Stage II SuperCharged Chevy Cobalt SS. Upgraded to 241 horsepower with the GM Performance Parts Stage II package, drivers will take the wheel through the NightShift and Skip Barber Racing Schools autocross course, with a professional race instructor sitting in the passenger seat.

Nightshift competitions include the new Rockstar National Glo-Go Dancer Competition on the Mazda stage, where Glo-Go dancers show off their go-go skills in city-to-city competitions against local dance teams. Additionally, the search for Miss HIN 2007 will continue with the Queen of the Scene competition hosted by HIN International Spokesmodel Ursula Mayes and the announcement of Miss HIN New York. Ursula, Miss HIN 2005, can be seen elsewhere this year as one of Maxim's "Sexiest 100" and on the new NBC program, "Deal or No Deal." The Mazda Nightclub will also welcome back Miss Lisa at the turntable.

A special moment in the evening will allow show attendees to recognize guests from the U.S. Military--Soldiers who recently returned from Iraq and Afghanistan. HIN and its sponsors will welcome Soldiers participating in Operation Tribute to Freedom, a U.S. Military outreach program designed to honor those returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. The program is an opportunity for Americans to better understand and connect with their Soldiers, one story at a time. Soldiers will be recognized and honored on stage for their service.
