J. Justus Schneider to take on new professional challenges

Stuttgart, Aug 02, 2006 J. Justus Schneider, head of Marketing Communication Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars, will be leaving DaimlerChrysler as of August 31, 2006, in order to start his own business in the area of new media.

In his position, J. Justus Schneider was responsible for advertising and online communications of Mercedes-Benz as well as product placement, trade fairs and retail architecture. He was also in charge of motor sports marketing and cooperative projects in the world of fashion. Under his leadership, marketing communication worldwide was focused on integrated communication, international cooperative projects and the establishment of the Laureus Sports Awards.

Dr. Klaus Maier, Executive Vice President Mercedes Car Group, responsible for Sales and Marketing, said: "Justus Schneider has generated innovative ideas that have made our worldwide presentation of the leading premium brand Mercedes-Benz even more consistent and fascinating.
