Chip Foose to Headline Automotive Celebration at Unique PerformanceFest Presented by Sam Pack

DALLAS--Aug. 3, 2006--Award-winning designer and builder Chip Foose will headline Unique PerformanceFest 2006, presented by Sam Pack's Five Star Ford, on Saturday, October 14, 2006. The festival will feature classic, current and custom cars, as well as motorcycles, racing displays, vendors and celebrities. The event will be at Unique Performance, which builds Shelby continuation and Foose edition muscle cars at 13950 Senlac Drive in Farmers Branch and benefit the Progeria Research Foundation and Holy Angels.

"With the support of Sam Pack Ford, Unique PerformanceFest has evolved into a celebration of all high performance vehicles," said Unique Performance President Douglas Hasty. "We expanded the event for even more entertainment value. We expect everything from classic Mustangs and Corvettes to current production Aston Martins and Vipers and street rods to help celebrate the freedom of the road."

Other celebrities invited include automobile creator Carroll Shelby, TV personality AJ from Overhaulin' and various sports stars. NHRA Champion Mike Ashley's G.T.500E drag car will also attend.

Unique PerfomanceFest 2006 vehicle registration will begin at 8 a.m. with the show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Public admission is free and a portion of vehicle registration fees will benefit the Progeria Research Foundation and Holy Angels. Classes are planned for all models of vintage and contemporary performance vehicles.

Hundred of vehicles, car clubs and thousands of spectators will attend enjoy the food, live music and exhibits. A shuttle will transport people to Sam Pack's new auto museum, which is located nearby.
