HERTFORDSHIRE - August 2, 2006: September normally means the beginning of the end of summer. But Nissan is keeping the sunshine feeling going by adding a touch of colour with the return of the Micra C+C Pink. And to further brighten the mood, Nissan is offering a host of cash savings for the simplified Micra range including £1000 off the flagship Sport SR.

The Micra C+C Pink was first launched in March and proved so popular that the initial run of 100 sold out in a few weeks. An appearance on BBC2's Top Gear generated more demand which further increased as the first Pinks went out on the road. So Nissan is making a few more. But not that many more – 175 in fact, preserving its relative exclusivity.
Based on the 1.6 Sport and priced at £14,495 ($27,200 USD, approx.), the C+C Pink features 16" graphite coloured alloys, manual air conditioning and alloy look interior trim in addition to Nissan’s unique-in-class C-VIEW® electrically folding glass roof. The Karmann designed two-piece roof, christened Auto-Open Roof™, takes just 22 seconds to fold neatly away in the boot leaving you to enjoy the sunshine. Well, what’s left of it in September.
Anyone not fast enough to get their hands on a C+C Pink can still take advantage of Nissan’s generosity and save £1000 off the price of a Micra Sport SR. At £9995 including the saving, the Sport SR is a real bargain. It comes with graphite coloured 16" multi-spoke alloy wheels, front, side and roof spoilers, plus tinted headlamps, fog lamps, a 6CD autochanger and automatic climate control. Automatic lighting and wipers, side curtain airbags and electronic stability programme – or ESP – complete the impressive spec list on this pocket ‘Street Racer’.
The Sport SR is part of the Micra Sport collection, all of which are offered with a £1000 saving. With this, the Micra Sport collection starts from just £9495. All Sports, apart from the SR, also come with one year’s free insurance and the option of three years’ interest free credit. Like the Sport SR, all models in the Sport collection come with 16" multi-spoke graphite coloured alloy wheels and automatic climate control. Front, side and roof spoilers, tinted headlamps, fog lamps and a 6CD autochanger are also standard. And after enjoying a year’s free cover, the young and perhaps insurance unfriendly, or their parents, will welcome the 1.2 Sport’s group two rating. The 1.4 and 1.5dCi are one group higher.
If it's a more luxurious drive that appeals, then the Micra Spirita collection should be on the shopping list. Especially with the complimentary automatic transmission upgrade worth £900 that Nissan is offering. Prices for the Spirita 1.2 Automatic, which comes with leather steering wheel with audio controls, electric door mirrors, electric windows, air conditioning with pollen filter and 15" wheels as standard, start from £9995. Which is two pedals for the price of three.
