MILWAUKEE MILE CHAIRMAN CRAIG STOEHR APPOINTED TO WISCONSIN SPORTS
DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS




MILWAUKEE (Aug. 1, 2006) - The Milwaukee Mile has announced that its
Chairman, Craig Stoehr, was appointed to the Board of Directors of the
Wisconsin Sports Development Corporation on July 27th.

 

The Wisconsin Sports Development Corporation is a non-profit sports
management organization that helps develop sports tourism in Wisconsin and
promotes positive lifestyles and physical fitness through amateur athletic
events and health education programs.  Wisconsin Sports Development
Corporation properties include the Badger State Games, the Wisconsin
Athletic Hall of Fame, Shape Up Wisconsin Kids, Lighten Up Wisconsin, and
the Fit Kids Challenge.  The Wisconsin Sports Development Corporation is
also the local host of Ironman Wisconsin.

 

"We are pleased that Craig Stoehr has accepted our invitation to join the
Board of the Wisconsin Sports Development Corporation," said Marty
Greenberg, the Board's Chairman.  "Craig's extensive international
sports-related experience, along with his role as Chairman of The Milwaukee
Mile, which is the oldest continuously operating motor speedway in the world
as well as one of Wisconsin's most valuable sports-related community assets,
make him a natural addition to the Board, and we look forward to his
participation."

 

Mr. Stoehr became Chairman of The Milwaukee Mile on January 1st of this
year, when his private equity investment company, Badger Pacific Equity
Partners LLC, took over the promoter role at The Milwaukee Mile along with a
group of local Wisconsin investors.  He has a long history of sports-related
involvement, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Grand Prix
Group Worldwide Limited, one of the leading sports marketing agencies
involved in Formula 1 auto racing, America's Cup sailing, and other
international sports.

 

"I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to serve on the Board of
the Wisconsin Sports Development Corporation," said Mr. Stoehr.  "I will do
everything I can to assist the Wisconsin Sports Development Corporation with
its strategic objectives, and look forward to working closely with Marty
Greenberg and the other members of the Board to promote sports in
Wisconsin."

 

During 2002 and 2003, Mr. Stoehr served as chief executive of the Class 1
World Powerboat Championship, the world's premier powerboat racing world
championship.  In this role, he oversaw all of the Championship's business
activities, including directing the staging of Grand Prix events throughout
Europe and the Middle East, with spectator audiences of between 150,000 and
1 million per event.  

 

Mr. Stoehr has also had significant exposure to the world of international
soccer, having worked on various legal, business development and marketing
matters for several companies in connection with the 1994 and 1998 FIFA
World Cups, as well as with international soccer stars Pele, Ronaldo,
Roberto Baggio, and many others.  He also previously served as Chief
Executive Officer of a privately owned sports-related online media company
and a Lucent Technologies sports and entertainment media venture, as well as
Corporate Finance Director of a $1.1 billion NASDAQ-listed media and
communications company.  

 

Mr. Stoehr began his career as a corporate attorney with the New York office
of Latham & Watkins, one of the world's largest law firms.  He has advised
or been involved in sports marketing-related activities with a number of
leading consumer brands, and has appeared on numerous television programs
speaking about the business of sports marketing, including CNN and CNBC
Europe.  He has also been quoted in numerous publications throughout Europe
and the Middle East.  

 

Mr. Stoehr earned his J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law
and his B.A. with a Major in Political Science from the University of
Minnesota.  Before returning to Wisconsin full-time in June 2005, Mr. Stoehr
lived and worked in New York, London, Paris, Milan, Istanbul and Dubai.
