ROBERTSON CATCHING MARTZ IN MIDWEST PAVEMENT FOCUS MIDGETS; DIRT PORTION
RESUMES SUNDAY

INDIANAPOLIS – James Robertson has quietly been catching two-time USAC Ford
Focus Midget Car Series champion Tate Martz in the Midwest Pavement
division. This week, he’ll attempt to leapfrog several others in the Midwest
Dirt series, as competitors hit the second round of the season Sunday at
Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wis.

Jordan Noblitt leads the Dirt point standings after winning the season
opener June 9 at Gas City I-69 Speedway. Rain has interfered with the
running of two other previously scheduled events.

But the Pavement season won’t slow down either. Robertson is only 26 points
behind Martz with two opportunities to catch him: this Wednesday at Anderson
(Ind.) Speedway and Friday at Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

While Robertson is 10th in Dirt points, he’s getting closer to the top of
the standings after two races last weekend. Robertson won the most recent
race Sunday, winning the 30-lapper at Galesburg Speedway in Michigan after
passing Ricky Ehrgott on Lap 17. Trailing were Chett Gehrke, Martz, Ehrgott
and Mario Clouser.

Ehrgott won Friday at Kil-Kare Speedway in Xenia, Ohio, beating Zach Schiff,
Gehrke, Ronnie Wuerdeman and Robertson. Martz was 16th.
