Plexus Systems to Speak on Lean Manufacturing at 2006 Management Briefing Seminars
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., July 31 -- Plexus Systems, providers of Plexus Online, the first true on-demand manufacturing performance system, was invited to present at the 2006 Management Briefing Seminars in Traverse City, Mich. the week of August 7 - 11, 2006. The annual automotive executive conference is hosted by the Center for Automotive Research (CAR).
Plexus Systems' chief operating officer Douglas Gregory will speak on the Monday afternoon panel titled, Diffusion of Toyota Production System (TPS) and the Lean Principles Culture Throughout the U.S. Economy. Joining Gregory on the panel are experts from the automotive and manufacturing community including representatives from the University of Michigan's Business and Industrial Assistance Division, the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center, and Tenax Corporation. The panel discussion will be led by Kim Hill, associate director, Economics and Business Group, and director, Automotive Communities Program, CAR.
Plexus was invited to participate on the panel because of its expertise and involvement with lean manufacturing.
